The Velasca delivers espressos and espresso lungos at the press of a
button, both of which are adjustable in terms of strength to ensure a
perfect result in the cup every time. The ceramic burr grinder can be
dialed in across ten settings, or avoided entirely by way of the bypass
doser. Gaggia’s specially designed pannarello wand aerates the milk in
your pitcher for you, so that you can focus on the delicious drink to
come. Simply press the steam button and wait half a minute for the
machine to get to temp after brewing.
The automatic rinse cycle
and Gaggia’s removable brew unit make cleaning and maintaining the
Velasca easier than ever. Pull out the brew unit for a quick rinse in
your sink to keep your coffee tasting fresh and your machine functioning
properly. For descaling, simply program your water hardness into the
machine and the Velasca will alert you when it’s time to run a descaling
cycle. When not in use for an extended period of time, the machine will
enter into a low energy standby mode to preserve power. This machine

Programmable Espresso Brewing
The intuitive display makes it
easier than ever to produce an espresso or espresso lungo with just one
push. Using the Aroma Strength selector, you can choose between one of
five strength settings, or brew with pre-ground espresso using the
bypass doser. You can also adjust coffee volume and temperature for
barista quality coffee with all of the flavor and none of the attitude.
Ceramic Burr Grinder
The Velasca comes equipped with a
ceramic burr grinder that’s durable, precise, and has minimal heat
transfer during grinding. It has 10 settings ranging from extra fine for
crema rich espresso to coarser grinds ideal for long coffees. Skip the
grinder entirely by way of the bypass doser when you want to brew
pre-ground coffee; it’s great for the occasional decaf.
Frothing and Hot Water
Gaggia’s innovative Pannarello steam
wand automatically aerates milk to produce rich milk foam. Thanks to the
rapid heating boiler, just push the “Steam” button and in less than 30
seconds you’ll be texturing milk to your preferred temperature and
consistency. For tea and cocoa drinkers, the wand also doubles as a hot
water spout with its own dedicated button.
Automated Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Valesca is
simple. The brew group can be removed for hand cleaning, and the machine
has a descaling cycle pre-programmed in. Use the included water test
strip to program in your water hardness and the Velasca will alert you
when it’s time to descale. Install the Mavea Intenza in the 1.6 L
reservoir to preserve coffee taste and improve your machine’s longevity.
