Casa V – Single Boiler System with Vibration Pump
For a single-boiler espresso machine,
and one of the smallest products in the ECM line, the ECM Casa V
manages to be one of the best semi-automatic machines you can get for
under $1500. You’ll find that many classic home use semi-automatic features
are present in the Casa V. For instance, the brew pressure gauge,
which lets you keep an eye on pressure while you brew and gives you a
sense as to the quality of your shot. To this end, ECM has made sure
that the overpressure valve is easily accessible for pump pressure
adjustment, hiding it beneath the cup tray.
The 1200 watt heating element goes to
work on the 0.4 liter brass boiler, heating the Casa V to brewing
temperature in 5-7 minutes, or steam temperature in one minute. This is the perfect machine for casual daily home and personal use (a frequent host of large groups may need more power).
However, a home of one or two people will be very happy with it’s
performance. This is especially so, considering the articulating
commercial style steam wand, packing a considerable amount of steam
power and equipped with a two-hole steam tip for velvety milk foam.
Single-Boiler/Dual-Use
The Casa V uses a 0.4 liter brass
boiler for both brewing and steaming. Expect warm up times of just a few
minutes until brew-ready. Steam is ready in just one minute.
Compact Design
At 14.5 inches tall and 8.25 inches wide, the

just about anywhere in your home.
Intuitive Controls
The Casa V features four dedicated
buttons for powering on the machine, pulling a shot, and dispensing
