grinder. Tamping isn’t necessary either, but our tests found that a
light tamp can really improve your shots.

Crema Perfetta Portafilter
The double-walled Crema Perfetta
Portafilter takes the guesswork out of brewing consistent, crema rich
espresso. You can brew with your choice of ground coffee or ESE (Easy
Serving Espresso) pods. Use the single basket for pods and the double
basket for ground coffee.
Automatic Pre-Infusion
Before brewing, your grounds are
lightly moistened with an infusion of low pressure water automatically.
This helps to guarantee a more even extraction to produce a richer
flavor and more persistent crema.
Pannarello Steam Wand
The Gaggia-patented pannarello wand
automatically adds air to your milk through a pinhole at the top of the
wand. This makes frothing easy for beginners, and, in combination with
the Carezza’s ESE pod capabilities, approachable to all users.
Eco-Mode
The Carezza’s impressive features are rounded out
by its automatic eco-mode, which powers down the machine after nine
minutes of inactivity to conserve energy. Its lightning quick heat up
time makes brewing a shot later on easy.
Temperature Gauge
The integrated temperature gauge allows constant monitoring of the water
temperature in the boiler to have the best result in cup at any use.
Cleaning Cycle
The machine activates an automatic rinsing cycle of the coffee circuit
when you turn it on, or when it automatically shuts off. This ensures a
