Despite being the most compact machine Profitec has on the market,
with the Pro 400 you won’t be missing out on any of the prosumer grade
features we’ve come to expect from Profitec. This compact heat exchanger
espresso machine includes high-end elements like an E61 brew group, a
1.6-liter stainless steel boiler, and a vibration pump.
A small but mighty heat exchanger espresso
machine that is perfect for kitchens of any size. As the most compact
machine from Profitec’s lineup, you can save some space without
sacrificing the features that you usually see on high-end espresso
machines. From the bigger features like the E61 brew group down to the
small details like interchangeable disclets with different colors to
match your kitchen, Profitec has thought of it all in the design of the
Pro 400.
Technically, the PRO 400 is an espresso machine in a class of its
own. A useful toggle switch underneath the machine allows three preset
temperatures to be easily chosen and to activate or deactivate the
preinfusion and the ECO mode.
The stylish dual gauge allows the boiler and pump pressure to be kept
an eye on at all times, allowing the brewing pressure to be easily
determined and changed when necessary.
The 1.6-liter stainless steel boiler on the Pro 400 is made of
stainless steel, which allows for a durable heating element that will
evenly heat up for your morning brew. The heat exchanger boiler can brew
and steam at the same time, and you can also quickly and easily
dispense hot water through the separate hot water wand.
The
Pro 400 is also equipped with a switch that lets you choose from three
different temperature presets as well as an optional pre-infusion mode
and ECO mode. The three temperatures are 248°F (120°C), 255.2°F (124°C),
and 262.4°F (128°C). Additionally, you can use the switch to trigger
the pre-infusion process and to toggle the ECO mode. The machine comes
with ECO mode already enabled, but you can choose to deactivate it (and
reactivate it) as you like.
It’s
obvious when you get your hands on the Pro 400 that its designers put a
lot of thought into user experience. Not only is the machine beautiful
to look at, but it also has small features that make a big difference.
For example, you can find a convenient storage spot under the drip tray
for your blind disc to make daily cleaning and maintenance easy, and
there’s a large removable cup warming tray on top of the machine to
preheat your mugs or espresso cups. You can also choose from four
different colored disclets for the front knobs of the machine and easily
switch them out to match your kitchen or just your mood.
At
just 9 inches wide, 17.6 inches deep, and 14.6 inches tall, the Pro 400
can easily fit into most kitchens. The cup tray on top is easily
removable to allow you to refill the 2.8-liter water reservoir located
at the back of the machine, and the Pro 400’s automatic shut-off feature
will let you know when the water is too low to brew or steam without
damaging your machine. Even with its small size, you still get the
high-quality features you see in other prosumer espresso machines like
an E61 brew group for temperature stability and dual pressure gauges on
the front of the machine.
If you’re looking for a compact heat exchanger espresso machine that
can easily switch from brewing to steaming and back again to keep your
mornings running smoothly, the Pro 400 is perfect for you. With multiple
temperature presets, optional pre-infusion, and temperature stability
from the E61 brew group and stainless steel boiler, the Pro 400 is a
beautiful machine that’s built to brew great espresso and stand the test
of time.
