The Rocket R Cinquantotto, an update on the ever popular R58, is a
dual boiler espresso machine, with a dual PID system controlled by a
removable touchscreen display. Each boiler uses a dedicated PID to
regulate the temperatures within each, and allow you to make adjustments
to accommodate different roast profiles. Updated cup railings, legs,
side panels, and the inclusion of shot timer are much appreciated
updates to Rocket’s signature dual boiler machine.
Dual independently operated PID controlled boilers
allowing for optimum extraction of any coffee type or roast style.
Rocket Espresso inclined boiler technology means precise group
temperature adjustment and unprecedented levels of temperature
stability.
Commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machines internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to have a direct water connection from the water supply.
Machine functions are controlled by the touch
screen communication pod that now includes an automatic on/off function
– your machine is ready to go whenever you need coffee. The
communication pod can easily be removed from the machine to retain the
aesthetic that is Rocket Espresso.
Features:
Rather than integrating the PID into the front of the R Cinquantotto,
Rocket opted to create a touchscreen device which can be removed from
the side of the machine as desired. The touchscreen device is a lot more
than a PID controller, however. With it in place, you can turn off the
steam boiler, set on/off times for different days of the week, turn on
ECO mode to save power, and switch between the water tank or a direct
water line connection. Separate from the PID, a subtle shot timer is
located directly above the power switch, and will begin counting when
the brew lever is engaged.
At its heart, the R Cinquantotto
features a 0.58 L brew boiler and 1.8 L steam boiler, which pump out
shot after shot and fuel a powerful steam wand. Said steam wand is
no-burn, along with its hot water counterpart.
As on their other
machines, the E61 present on the R Cinquantotto features Rocket’s
innovative dual pre-infusion system, which utilizes a static chamber as
well as a mechanical working piston which progressively pre-infuses to
ensure a fully saturated, crema-rich extraction. The R Cinquantotto also
features a commercial-grade rotary pump, which, on top of being
incredibly quiet, offers the option to plumb the machine directly into a
water line.
This rock ‘em sock ‘em Rocket won’t let you down. It’s reliable,
innovative and thoughtfully designed. The touchscreen display is a
knockout addition, letting you control boiler temperatures with
precision, turn off the steam boiler if you like, set on/off times for
each day of the week, and a lot more.
Commercial Rotary Pump
The
R Cinquantotto is equipped with a commercial grade rotary pump with
external pressure adjustment controls, allowing users to fine tune pump
pressure while viewing the dedicated pressure gauge. Rocket reconfigured
the internal architecture of the pump to increase efficiency and reduce
noise creating the one of the quietest rotary pumps around.
Dual PID Temperature Controllers
Both
the 0.58 L brew boiler and 1.8 L steam boiler have dedicated PIDs
regulating their temperatures to the degree. Users can easily make
temperature adjustments to each on the touchscreen display to
accommodate various roasts, and, for added convenience, it can be
removed from its place on the side of the machine.
Touchscreen Communication Pod
The
included touchscreen device can be easily plugged into the side of the
machine where it rests at a fixed position, angled up for easy reading.
Temperatures in the brew boiler and steam boiler are displayed
individually and can be raised or lowered to your preference. Set on/off
times for each day of the week, turn on ECO mode, or even turn off the
steam boiler to save power.
